Two things to check are the fuel pressure, which should be right around 30 psi for your 70, and the charging system regulating voltage, which should be 14.1-14.4V, measured at the battery with a warm system with the engine running at med rpm (~2500rpm). If you measure less than 13.5V replace the voltage regulator with a genuine Bosch. I've gotta get my hands on one of the new Bosch solid state generator regulators, just to check them out. A solid state replacement SHOULD last forever, and not drift like the mechanical ones do. - ******************************* Jim Adney, jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, Wisconsin, USA ******************************* ------------------------------------------------ To unsubscribe, E-mail to: <type3-off@vwtype3.org> For more help, see http://vwtype3.org/list/
