Well, wait on your decision to sell until the time presents itself. What
are your options of storage? For example, is your move to New O. temporary
i.e. you'll be there a year or two? If so, what about storing Betabel until
you get back. If the move is permanent what about exploring options of
moving to an area where you can keep her (him?), even if under a carport w/a
tarp over her/him?
I don't know what governs peoples necessities, options, and priorities but
for me the searches for a place to live required that it accepted cats (they
ARE family) and had adequate facilities for my cars (covered parking,
minimum, and an outside faucet for car washing). The idea that I compromise
either factor was never, ever!, an option for me. And every time I was
successful in finding a place that accomidated my needs. So, from my point
of view, forfeiting your pride-n-joy shouldn't even be a concern; there are
numerous ways to save her/him. Worse comes to worse, you can store it at my
place and I'll take care of it ;)
