Ther was a change in the way T-3 automatics shifted between early and
late. I think yours is a late model. The factory had complaints from
owners the the tranny's were too harsh, so they made them more sluggish.
If you get a chance to drive a '69 automatic, or an automatic T-2. see
if it is different than yours.
