<x-charset iso-8859-1>Rostyle wheels were fitted as OE to a lot of Type 1 (Beetles) in South Africa, as far as I can remember, mainly the later versions with the bigger taillights (Referred to as 'Pumpkin' taillights locally). I think the beetles were are all similar to the Brazilian models, but I doubt if they were ever fitted to Type 3's maybe Type 4's. They were mainly 5 lug bolt pattern wheels & were available in 15 & 14 inch. These are the South African models & limited edition models I can remember with them - Maybe Simon Glen can shed more light on the matter. 15" 165 Tyres Std Beetle Super Bug - Curved Windscreen, luxury Interior. Jeans Bug - Denim trim & logo's Fun Bug - Uprated trim & striping 14" 165 & 185 tyres SP Beetle - High Performance Beetle, Late 70's - Twin Carbs, free flow exhaust, black trim, small steering wheel, body stripes & tuned motor. These things were plenty quick for an off the shelf VW. All of the 'GT' versions of the Ford Escorts Opels, Chevs of this period were fitted with the 4 bolt 13" Rostyles as well. Hope this helps you. They should look nice on any Type 3. I have seen some with them on.
