I can't comment on anyone's behavior at Parma cause I wasn't there, but I have to agree with Todd.. I started out in a square, and disdained all other forms of aircooled... After my buddy Drake got his 59 bug, I started appreciating the "common" T1 a lot more... even find myself eyeing double-cab busses in the hopes that my husband will convert to the aircooled world (it's a truck babe, I swear!). I drive a 914 to and from work most days... at least until the Notch is done... I own a notch project, but I plan to build a camper bus next... maybe even a type-4 baywindow (shudder)! On the same vein, I find it odd that people on the list find it necessary to euphemize type 1's (i.e., "B--tle"). Call me crazy, but I like the aircooled culture because it tends to foster camraderie, and I appreciate everything from a Hebmueller to a Baja doublecab. A type 3 just happens to be what started my obsession. ;-) ------------------------------------------------ To unsubscribe, E-mail to: <type3-off@vwtype3.org> For more help, see http://vwtype3.org/list/
