My mom is the original owner of a 70 bug which was my first of 6 air cooled VW's and my family and I used 30 weight exclusivley in that car and the next 5 VW's without any problems.. Well my dad lost an engine in the 70 due to not replacing the drain plug once.. But that was his fault! =) So for me, that's good enough... If my engines would last 150k miles, I would never get to rebuild them!
