Hi all, My '72 fastback has been having a intermittent flooding problems/rich running problems and generally uses a lot of gas. Sometimes, it gets into a state where the engine will run very rough, with very little power and gas will leak out of the exhaust pipe along with white smoke. Usually, shutting off the engine and waiting a bit, the problem will go away. Although this mostly happens after starting, it has occurred a couple of times after the engine has run for a while. A number of you have suggested possible problems that might cause this condition in response to a previous message. So far, I've done a complete tune up (replaced points, checked distributor and advance mechanisms, plugs, etc.), checked the generator, tested the cold start valve and the CSV thermoswitch, pressure sensor, and replaced the fuel tank expansion chamber (more like pipe). I've also checked the two temp sensors (temp II reads 194 ohm, temp I about 1500 ohm on a 90 degree day). These values seem lower than spec (which is @ 68F), but the resistance is supposed decline with increased temp. Do these values seem correct? Are there any other things other than the injectors and pressure regulator that need to be checked? Since I don't have the tools to test fuel pressure, I haven't yet checked the individual injectors or the pressure regulator. If one of these parts is bad, are there any vendors for these parts or do I have to head to the junk yard?
