It's possible that a T1 cooling system in a T1 car is better than a T3 cooling system in a T3 car, I really don't know. I think that the CFM of the T# cooling fan is actually a bit more than the T1 fan, so I actually doubt this premise.

The numbers are listed in the Haynes manual. The only thing I dont know is that the numbers are listed at a given rpm, but since the T1 has different sized pulleys, I dont know if the T1 is listed at crank rpms or generator rpms. I presume it is crank rpms.

Anyway, T1 65-up 1300 is listed at 550 liters per second at 4000 rpm
T1 65-up 1500 is listed at 575 liters per second at 4000 rpm
T3 is listed at 580 liters per second at 3800 rpm.

It seems that the T3 pushes a bit more air than these two, but sinc I dont have specs for the T1 1600 Doghouse style cooling system, it's a bit hard to say. And the Doghouse system is what most performance people uses anyways. Anyone have a 1302/1303 Superbeetle Haynes manual look it up?
