[T3] air in fuel lines?

<x-charset iso-8859-1>Hi, this is a fallow up to my thread the other day "Overheating, timing"

< Here is the problem; when driving on the freeway, about 65 mph (also
<happened once on a hill), the car cut out as if only running on about 2
<cylinders, I limped of the exit ramp and pulled over. The engine was
<literally smoking hot. I started up again after only about one minute (It
<ran normally at this point) so I connected the timing light and confirmed
<the position at 0degs. The only things I could notice were that it seemed
to
<wander about 2 degrees and a very bad post ignition run-on (dieseling).
<After a few minutes of cooling it seems to run well again.

I checked the grounds for the fuel injectors, they were loose so I clean
and re-secured them very well. unfortunately this did not solve the problem.
I also cleaned the distributor during restoration.
I have only driven this car 250 miles (1.5 tanks of fuel) since it was
restored. At that time I had the fuel pump removed and disassembled, I'm
sure air got in the lines at this point; and I found this morning that the
inlet rubber fuel line was bent and badly pinched off. I replaced it with a
piece about 8" long to alleviate the crimp and I left all that air in the
lines. The car is continuing to run normal and then cut off to about 15%
power with very small backfires. I was pulled over the last time the loss of
power happened so instead of letting it die, I worked the pedal for about
1-2 minutes and it came back. I drove the car home running well and let it
idle in the driveway for about 15 minutes and it ran fine with the exception
of a small miss hear and there, possibly more air working out?

Being sure that I introduced air into the lines, does this sound like
symptoms that could happen?
Any good tips to make sure I have all the air out? Or other Ideas. I don't
think it is a heat issue now and believe that all the tin is in place.

Also, I have oh so carefully set the timing to 0deg w/vacuum disconnected
and plugged @850-900rpm and I still get a dieseling when Turn the car off?
