<x-charset Windows-1252> http://www.caldrive.com/ Some bits are California-specific, but a lot of it relates more generally to driving in the western U.S., or simply in the U.S. at large. Some of you east coasters (like from Wisconsin or Michigan, haha) who are heading west for the Invasion might get a kick out of it, too. I was stationed in Mtn Home AFB, Idaho for about 6 months in late 89, early 90. I was coming from a 4 yr tour in England and brought back a 67 Morris Mini. I found that driving around locally in the small town of Mtn Home, that coming up to a 4 way stop, the locals in their jacked up 4 X 4s would just sorta slowly cruise on thru the intersection while giving me a funny look. I guess they figured I would stop for them. And they were right. First rule of Western driving apparently being: He who has the biggest 4 X 4 has the right of way! ------------------------------------------------ To unsubscribe, E-mail to: <type3-off@vwtype3.org> For more help, see http://vwtype3.org/list/ </x-charset>
