<x-charset windows-1255>Hi all, My engine now has two working chokes, thanks to two NOS heating elements that I have fitted recently. Now, the question is: should I have bothered? I live in a very hot climate (Israel) especially at this time of the year, and I have read Muir's derogatory comments about them. My engine is always a bit grumpy when I start it for the first time after a couple of weeks, so I can't comment on whether it starts and works better with or without them. We'll see how it goes tomorrow. So, what do you Californians, Texans and Australians do? Should I use the chokes or leave them open all the time? Also, how can I know in future that the chokes are working OK, being hidden as they are under the air cleaner?
