I think that a catastrophic failure is unlikely, but I don't have much 
experience with things like this. Russ has probably heard many 
more failure stories than I have.

I think you have your cooling system in good order now. While 
you're under the car you might try tightening all the case seam 
bolts you  can reach. I once had an oil leak on one of my rebuilt 
engines that just needed this to close it back up.
