7 psi is certainly low; it should be 30. Check the filter and filter screen.  If 
they are clogged, check the overflow hose. If it is cracked this will let in lots 
of dirt which will clog the filter. This is a VERY common problem which 
MUST be fixed or it will ruin lots of stuff.

They fire in pairs, 1 & 4, 2 & 3. Erratic firing is most likely caused by loose 
connectors, which can be fixed rather easily and cheaply, but it has to be 
done carefully to avoid damaging them. If the spray pattern is poor, this is 
most likely due to water or dirt which has gotten in the gas. Bad grounds are 
not likely a problem after '69.
