<x-charset ISO-8859-1>PPS: It's me again. If I can measure current at the coil, indeed if I can see it go on and off as I turn the engine, as the pulley timing mark is near the top and the rotor is going past No. 1 spark plug position, then this must be TDC of cylinder 1 right? I have also in doing so tested the timing of the ignition, right?which I think is just a bit off. It appears to have been timed to approx 10 degrees BTDC, whereas all the books say it should be at timed at TDC. Again I am hesitant to change anything, because it seems I may have a non stock distributor. So, should I mess with it? and, if the answer is yes, where is the clamping bolt for the distributor? I have found a candidate underneath it towards the front of the car, but I am not sure.
