Well I just got caught up in my emails and would like to put my 2 cents in :). I was in the same boat about 1 month ago, had a single carb setup on my 1971 and found that I had enough parts to complete about 2 motors with FI. I hadn't found the list at that time, so I mixed and matched parts until I got a fully running system, so it is possible to convert back. I am still waiting for the last component to "complete" the change, waiting for my NOS FI distributor even though my current one works, O.K., but with no vacuum advance and a broken connector for the FI timing. I have to say one thing about FI that was mentioned before, once it is hooked up, a couple of adjustments, and it is smooth sailing after that. BTW, since I got the car running with this setup, I have logged over 1200 miles, so I think I have had adequate "break-in" time to see what was still broken. P.S. I caught the air-cooled fever in Jan when I bought the cars Thomas Cars owned: 1971 Blue VW Type 3 Squareback (current project) 1972 Red VW Type 3 Squareback (will be next project) 1973 Green VW Type 3 Squareback (now parts car) ------------------------------------------------------------------- Unsubscribe? mailto:type3-request@vwtype3.org, Subject: unsubscribe
