I know of at least 5 different kinds of heads... 1.7 heads only fit on 1.7 cylinders. 1.8 or 2.0 heads can be interchanged on any 1.8 or 2.0 engine. > And the 1.7 stock has the > same or less HP than a stock T3. 80hp is the 914/411 1.7 spec. 68hp or 72hp (can't remember which!) is the carbed, low compression bus 1.7 spec. 54hp is the stock late T3 1.6 spec. The T4 > T3 conversion is a great one... let me know if you need any help. BTW, you can fab up a rear mount for the engine to avoid welding on the swingaxle frame horns. Or, if you like, I can make one for you... we're highly considering making a short run of T4>T3 mounts...
