Thank you John r and PerL, My book "Volkswagens of the World" is largely about Volkswagens produced outside Germany especially in Brazil, Mexico, South Africa, China and Australia such as the Gol, Parati, Sanatana, Country Buggy, Citi Golf, Golf Caddy, VW trucks, the Fusca, the SP-2, Brazilian Karmann-Ghias etc. It does also cover some of the less well-known VWs made in Germany such as the K70, the Basistransporter, the Type4, the 181 (Thing), the wartime VWs, police VWs, ambulance VWs, Westfalias, the Fridolin, the LTs and so on. The chapter on Type3s deals mainly with the non-German Type3s made in Australia and South Africa and also with the rather special and very different Brazilian-made versions. There is also a small section on Type3 panel vans. The book was written initially as a series of contributions to a VW Club monthly newsletter but then expanded into book form. It was published in England by Veloce Press in October 1999. See: http://www.veloce.co.uk/vwworld.htm for more details of it. I think the cheapest way to buy it is through http://www.amazon.com Inevitably, little gremlins seem to creep into a detailed book like this. So, there are one or two 'typos'. And, since having the book published I have learned a lot more about Brazilian Type3s mainly from contact with Brazilian owners who have bought the book. I also feel I should have covered the special Golfs in more depth. Simon Glen Toowoomba, Australia. Per Lindgren wrote: > I can attest to that, Simons book is fantastic.
