They usually just need a little oil and a cleanup of the main vertical shaft to 
remove rust.

OTOH, I don't recommend that you use them. Get a cheap scissors jack 
instead, and find the strong points under the car where it is safe to jack from.

It's just too easy for the car to roll forward or back using the OE jack and 
twist off the OE jack points, or dent the rear fender. Then there is the fact 
that the OE jack points of few of these cars are still strong enough to support 
the weight.

There are just too many ways for this to turn tragic, so get yourself a cheap 
alternative now, before it is too late.
