Hugo, yes you can use that motor, but you need to convert the cooling system over to a type 3 set up or it will eventually fail from overheating. If you have fuel injection then you might have a problem with the temp sensor as there is no boss for it to attach it to the motor. I'm running a type 1 motor that has been coverted to type 3 cooling in my Notch, it has been in there for over a year with 2 years before that in a squareback, and before that a couple of years in a fastback. The minor problem is that you have to use the type1/2 dipstick instead of the type3 dipstick, unless you want to tear down the motor and have it machined for the type3 dipstick.
