<x-flowed>Last weekend I changed oil, plugs, checked dwell, timing, charging system, and valves. Oil was good, charging system checked out good, 13.5 @vdc idle, 14.8vdc @high idle. Valves only require minor adjustment, 2 & 3 exhaust were tight, all the rest were in pretty good shape. Set dwell to 46, set timing. The spark plugs were ok 3 looked perfect, #1 was dark though. Not oil fouled, or covered in carbon...it was dark though. That could either be from the fact that #1 was running like crap a while back...so I am going to check on the plugs again after putting some more miles on it and see what they look like. OH Jim, you said time my 72 as if it were a 71, because I lack many of the parts for a 72 (primarily the vac retard) Does this inlclude the actual timing setting (i.e. 0 btdc for a 71, or 5 tdc for a 72 I think those were the values at any rate) or merely the timing procedure you were referring to? Im still being a slacker and havent checked the fuel pressure either, so I still dont know if its correct. Kelly Park was a good show...the sun actually decided to show after sometime, and the weather turned out to be beautiful. The staff did a great job of packing the cars in there, even though they said there was going to be "no parking on the grass" they broke that rule to pack all the cars in that were trying to get in. There were a couple of sweeeeeet notches (mild custom) there, one was RHD and beautiful. One of the notches, a mild custom exterior, had a 2.7 litre type IV motor. Sounded beautiful, almost quiet, thanks in part to the nicest custom made stainless exhaust I have ever seen. Personally I think my square was the best looking late model T3 there :)...now that I think about it, it was the only late model square there ;p.
