When I recently replaced my gear oil with Royal Purple Synthetic GL-4/GL-5, I used a 3 foot long piece of clear plastic tubing about 3/4" in diameter to fill it. I simply jacked the left side of the car up (manual tranny) and removed the left rear tire. I pulled the fill plug and stuck one end of the hose in the hole and ran the other end out to the outside of the car and raised it above the fill hole. It was all down hill from there. Dumped the tranny fluid in from the squeeze bottles. Used all three full quarts. I then put a drain pan underneath, removed the fill hose, and lowered the car to level. The little bit of excess ran out and the tranny was full. Didn't have to lay on my back under the car trying to squeeze the bottles in that cramped space. Worked great for me. BTW, I am happy with the Royal Purple Synthetic so far. Have seen no adverse effects. Later, John Jaranson '71 FI Auto Fasty (Jane) '66 Squareback (???)
