Hi Volks, This is exactly what I was thinking when I posted a few weeks ago. The key to the success of this idea as has been mentioned will be regional/national support. A letter to the "magazines" would be a good start. A national newspaper, EVEN BETTER! Keep the ideas coming, we MIGHT just make something of this. I too have had a design/quality control problem with VW's latest offerings, an upper front strut bearing went out at 34, 000 miles, (NOT COVERED UNDER WARANTEE, and no explaination HOW it could have happened!). I've had aftermarket ones go for longer! This and VoA's attitude is having me think twice about a New Beetle purchase anytime in the near future. Cheers, John La Francois Blauvelt, NY USA '65 Notch S (Nubb) '67 Beetle (Bubb) '98 Jetta GL (Wolfgang), (Now with year old "Real" VW strut bearings of questionable quality) "adevars@gmavt.net" <adevars@greenmountainaccess.net> wrote: >I really like the cover or remove your badges idea, and it would be an easy >thing for people to opt into when they register their cars at the show. >Thinking on about this though, sorta like "Alice's Restaurant"....if it >happens more than a few times, they might think it's a movement and that's >exactly what it needs to become...the air-cooled VW anti-VWoA movement..... >I agree with Steve's assertion that VWoA is generating it's own karma at the >moment which will ultimately bite them in the seat. ت last one seems to have plenty of stupid >design and quality issues which may make me less likely to purchase another >new VW again... __________________________________________________________________ Your favorite stores, helpful shopping tools and great gift ideas.
