I read the Semaphore Editorial in Hot VW's April Issue. "Has VW turned It's

On The Air-Cooleds?"
The last sentence says "Because , someday, all this short-sided thinking
will no-
doubt backfire-bigtime."
We could make it happen. The reason V.W. can sue and intimidate the small
business owners is because they have money, right or wrong and little guys
can't fight back, because they lack resources. There are a lot of loyal air
cooled
owners around the world who are upset by V.W.'s actions.
If enough of us pooled our resources we could form a defense fund and give
back a
little of what is being dished out. If 1,000,000 VW enthusiasts donated $10
each
that would be $10,000,000 which could hire some pretty good legal talent. It
would at least give them something to think about. It could also generate some
negative publicity for VW, and the media could be a powerful ally.
I am also a member of the Volvo Club and Volvo supports our activities
rather
than harassing us.
Think about it . Why is the new Bug so popular? One reason is because the
old Bug is and was so popular. Sales of the New Bug are in effect riding on
the
shoulders of the old Bug and VW needs to wake up.
What do you think, people??
P.S. We could also institute a letter writing campaign.
