This is a generator, not an alternator. You need a type 3 pulley specifically. I 
have good used ones and I can sell you just the front half if that is all you 
want.

The only time I've ever seen a broken pulley is when the voltage regulator is 
failing and it exerts staccato on and off loads on the generator and belt. You 
may notice this as a rather heavy clicking coming from under the back seat 
while you're driving. If you've been hearing this, you should replace the VR at 
the same time.  

Of course if the pulley broke because of some mechanical abuse, that is 
completely different.
