[T3] Manual Transaxle question

Hey all,I have some noise coming from what sounds like the transaxle. It is a growl 
that increases with speed and stops when I depress the clutch slightly it is 
faint in nuetral at idle, but again stops when I depress the clutch slightly. 
I have heard a couple of opinions, the throwout bearing, the main bearing, 
and the ring and pinion. It shifts and drives great, how long can I expect to 
let it ride before I need to address it and what opinions are out there as to 
what it is? Its a 73.
