My info says that 62 engines with 3 notches on the pulley should 
be timed to the right notch, which is 12.5 deg. The three notches 
are 7.5, 10, and 12.5 deg BTDC. Do this statically or with the 
vacuum hose disconnected.

Extra advance usually helps hesitation, but you ALSO MUST make 
sure that your vacuum advance is working properly.
