RE: [T3] Digital Multimeter as a RPM indicator?

I'd like a copy of that too, if you could. Thanks,

Hello-

I don't know how you are with electronics, but you can make a little devise
to work with a digital multimeter for a tach. Go to national
semiconductor's homepage at www.nsc.com and search for tachometer or pulse
frequency counter or something like that... I've checked it out before and
would do it again, except for that when I just checked their site is down
:-(. Once it's up and if you don't mind a bit of soldering, I can make up a
little schematic for you if you like...

Take care,
Shad

rpm indicator? I don't need a value in rpm, I just need a comparative
indicator i.e. engine setting A has higher rpm than setting B. Could I
measure current flowing through the points? Does this change with rpm? Part
of me says it does, but the other part keeps shouting 'how?'

measurements.
