You asking about fogging around the edges of your windshield, right? If so, it's not the glass, but the plastic sandwiched between the 2 layers of glass that is turning white. I don't know for sure, but I've been told that the cause of this is water leaking in around the rubber gasket and reacting with the edge of the plastic film. Supposedly, this can be prevented by properly sealing the gasket, something which VW never did (they just installed a straight gasket, no sealant.) I need to email my glass man again and get the name of the product that is supposed to prevent this. The question arises whether the fogging will slowly go away if the source of water is removed. I don't know, but it seems unlikely. - Jim Adney jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, WI 53711-3054 USA ------------------------------------------------------------------- Search old messages on the Web!
