Seems to me that doing this in batches makes a lot of sense. 
Does anyone else remember Checker (cabs?) They were actually 
an independent Detroit manufacturer, but I heard that the Chevy 
plant tooled up 1 day per year to make the entire year's production 
of transmissions for Checker.
