They are probably the same parts used in the cable shortening kits for
buggies as sold by all the usual purveyors of Taiwanese tat, eg "Empi",
"Scat", JSC etc.

The idea of using an electrical "chocolate block" connector as found under
the seat is probably the cheapest and easiest option, though.
