RE: Window scrapers

i used super beetle scrapers on mine and it's worked for 8 years now. i
don't know, maybe bus ones are better.

i just:

take the chrome piece out with the old scrapers being careful to not bend
it.

remove old rubber by carefully drilling out just enough of the rivets to
remove the rubber.

cut bug scrapers to match shape of t-3 ones. i didn't just cut the to
length, i "stepped" the flat part so that it would press against the vent
window frame, like the t-3 ones.

go to the hw store and get some rivets, whatever kind you like. if you use
pop rivets, you should probably pound them flat after. i think i used the
ones that ahve two arms you just bend out and pound flat. be sure to use the
old metal backing as a support piece, just like it is originally.

put them back in without bending the chrome or scratching anything.

this was 8 years ago, when i was 16, so my memory is a bit hazy. let me
know if you need any more help.

Maybe someone who has had success fixing the scrapers
>could make up a set of directions on what to buy and how to go about
>making the repair. Any takers out there?
