    Seems like you have the right tree, 1&4 2&3 fire
in sets and I think 2&3 is on the  21 circuit. Did you
have the engine turning over whrn testing this. I have
taken an old dist cut it down to make a adjuster for
the trigger points it works fine and gives double life
to the points. check to make sure you have a good
ground before pulling the points out(the cluster in
the middle of the engine).
