Sounds like you did just fine. That's what I would have done, and HAVE done 
in the past. There is no "off" cooler, there's just an early and a late. The early 
cooler (with the 8mm holes) was used up thru 69 while the late was used 70-
73.

Do you have an early cooler with a late case, or a late cooler with an early 
case?

The seals you need are called "adapter" seals and are usually green.
