All the 12V type 3s would be alike, I think. There were early generators with a smaller diameter which would have taken a shorter belt. I can never remember when the diameter change took place. It did NOT take place at the logical moment when the cars went from 6V to 12V, rather it took place in the middle of one voltage tenure, so that there are 2 sizes of generators for one of the voltages; I think it was for 6V. I assume the 1000 means 1000mm and it might well be the outer circumference of the belt. Try wrapping a tape measure around it and seeing if one of yours is grossly different from 1m long. 1m = 39.37".
