There are several <$300 rebuilds listed in the VW magazines.
"Kustom 1" for example lists a stock T3 for $209 (exchange). I don't
know what type of guarantee.
I'm hoping to replace Phillips balky tranny at our christmas shut
down. I'm considering one of these rebuilds, can anyone recommend a
mail order supplier? Local PDX would be nice though, to avoid 2 x $30
shipping.
Also, I'm making shopping list for the swap. Comments
appreciated.
* gear oil
* tranny mounts
* swing boots (are non-split type avail?)
* reverse light switch
* throw out bearing
* main seal
* outer axle tube seals (specifically what parts?)
