it has been a while since I have driven that car I sort of remember that it didn't seem to shift as smooth as it should...again it has been almost a year since I was behind the wheel =(....I may not have them do anything and wait till the transmission dies, but I was figured that since the engine is out, why not have them replace or rebuild it. The rebuild of the transmission is out of question when they said I think 1,000.00 to rebuild it....and I remember in the magazines advertisements mentioning transmissions being like 400.00. Grant Jim Adney: > Lots of places can rebuild engines, but trannys take > lots of very > expensive tools and skills. Plus the trannys seldom > fail. What is > the problem with yours? Are you sure that it > actually needs to be > rebuilt? > > Seriously, I would worry a lot about finding someone > who really > was properly set up and trained to do a proper job > on a VW 4 > speed. __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
