Congratulations on a job that seems to be coming along very well!

VW recommends that tubeless radials only be used on cars with 
safety rims. These are the ones with the little rise inside that keeps 
the tire bead in place. If your wheels are older than that you should 
use tubes in the tires, or find some later wheels.

You can take the sender apart and gently clean off the resistor 
wire, or I can rebuild it for you.

It may just require checking and adjusting the sag in the Bowden 
housing to the usual 1", or it may go away once you drive it a bit 
and polish up the clutch surfaces.
