<x-charset iso-8859-1>The oil pressure spring regulates the COLD or Excess oil pressure... you
dont want too much or youll be blowing out oil seals or the cooler... when
the oil is hot and the pressure low that valve is closed anyway and you
could glue the plunger in there and the oil pressure wont be any higher.

Low hot pressure is loose bearings or a loose fit in the case... or perhaps
a worn pump or excessively thick pump gasket.
