<x-charset iso-8859-1>Front shocks designed to fit an early link-pin (ie pre '65) Beetle will fit
a Type 3 front axle. Whether you need lowered (shortened) shocks depends how
low the car is. One or two splines will be okay with stock shocks, although
you may need to shorten the bump stops.

Shocks for a ball-joint Beetle won't fit at all.
