<x-charset Windows-1252>I've been driving my 63 Notch daily for the last couple of weeks until today. Yesterday everyuthing was working pretty well and this morning I started it up and drove around the corner to work. It's not at all far but I was running late and too lazy to walk. When I drove home after work it suddenly didn't want to idle. Now if I hold the throttle at any particular position the engine will rev evenly for a few seconds then take a nose dive even though I hold the throttle in position. If I fool around with the throttle I can keep it running. What's going on? Why the sudden problem? All my hoses and wires look to be in place properly. I pulled the line from the fuel pump to the tank and drew gas directly from a jerry can to see if maybe I had water in the gas or something, no change. I swapped in a used fuel pump, same problem. I pulled off the carburetor, removed the top cover and checked it out. All the passages are clear and everything looks pretty clean. When I put it back on I have the same problem. I even swapped coils just in case and no change. Luckily when I insured the 63 I kept my 'other' car on the road. Every couple of days something sidelines my Notch... This is depressing, help!!
