Any results?? I agree with Jason on this one. I am very impressed with the POR-15 product. It is expensive but goes a long ways. I bought a quart and have covered both sides of my 66 Square floorpan and about a 1/3 of one side of the floorpan for my 71 Fasty (any left overs from working on the 66 go on to the Fasty pan) and I have about half the quart left. When I did the 66, I put it up on 4 jack stands as high as it would go and laid on my back and brushed the underside. It was a bit messy, but not too bad. Definitely use rubber gloves, long sleeves, and safety glasses. This stuff does not wash off. I did not try to paint the body bolts, but also was not really careful. While the POR-15 is strong stuff, I don't think it would be impossible to remove the bolts if you did paint over them. Now if you painted the bolt and installed it wet, you might never get them out again! I did not paint the subframe or axle beam on the 66 Square, but probably will on my Fasty since it is a pan-off customization. I did have some pin holes and a few holes about the size of a quarter. I tried taping the back side of the pin holes and them painting over them, but the POR-15 did not fill the holes. It wets the surface too well and flows easily. I ended up painting the top side of the floor pan and then filling the pin holes with Permatex Liquid Metal filler paste. I then recoated those areas with POR-15 after the filler dried. It worked very well. For the larger holes I did use fiberglass cloth (Yes, it was me Jason). The POR-15 wets the glass fabric out nicely and make a good composite, but it also does not will the voids in the glass cloth well. I ended up with a nice strong patch that was porous. I used the Permatex product again to fill the porosity. In the future I will mix some of the POR-15 with some glass micro spheres I happen to have. This will thicken it up some and make it a better filler. I took lots of pictures but haven't made the time to update my long overdue! website. Maye after the snow flies here in Michigan..
