Hey all. Anyone ever have a headlight switch get hot? (hot enough to smell insulation burning) Only thing that's been changed is the generator (went from 356 12v to OEM '68 12v T3 gen) checked output voltage(OK,13.8-14.2), VR (new Bosch) good grounds, good wiring. Could the extra amperage (+/- 5 amps) of the new gen be the cause?(had no previous problems) Maybe just fried? Also a strange intermittent "clicking/humming" noise when hot(something like loose valves) while idling in neutral, however when clutch is activated, the noise disappears. Goes into gear smoothly (all 4 + Rev) no roughness or vibration while starting from a standstill, all the way to 80+ mph.(Trans has been professionally rebuilt, stock cut flywheel/ new clutch/ pres. plate/throwout/((all Sachs)). Any ideas guys? (Sorry San D. group! I was looking forward to seeing you all today) Chuck Salter '66 SB (1776 runs like a swiss watch otherwise) Vista CA ------------------------------------------------------------------- Too much?
