[T3] swing axle shaft

One of my swing axle shafts is leaking oil. On close inspection it seamsits at the point where the damper mounting lug is attached to it. Maybebecause of it being welded on badly in the past.Is it possible to remove the shaft without removing the transmission (andengine)?
