I expect the best solution is basically the factory solution -- the plastic
screens under the grille that have rotted away on most Typ3s by now. I
replaced mine with fiberglass ones.

If I understand the physics properly, the pocket at the base of the
windshield is a naturally high-pressure area, so the aftermarket scoops,
while sort of cool-looking, have no positive effect on system performance.
