Hey ho boys and girls! I just got finished reserving the Parma, Idaho Motor Vu Drive-In Theater for Aug. 16th and 17th 2003!!! The owner said that she loved the idea as that will be the drive inâs 50th year of operation! Wow!!! The owner informed me that 220 cars can park on site, and we are allowed if needed to park along the highway roadside for non-participant cars. They are going to run a full concession stand the entire usage time on both days! That is hot-dogs, popcorn, fountain drinks, etc... Here is the other thing I am excited about...On the day of the show, 3 bucks per person!!! The fee will help cover the minor expenses I will incur for the show. This is a not for profit show and I would even encourage the bringing of canned goods for the local food banks. This is the concept for the 2 days... Day one, informal any type 3 or Brazilian hybrid with no Îshow pointsâ and just a nice Type 3 time had by all and if I can arrange it, maybe some Îtechâ time on things like paint care, pan prep, extra hp, type 4 into type 3s and the like. Day two, would be a non formal show day, with only people showing giving an award for best car driven to the show. I would also give a long distance award w/ a free fill up at the local Chevron. I know that some are leery of an all out judged car show, but I believe that those who spend the time, money and are willing to come should get recognition too. This show is going to happen, even if my cars are the only ones to show up, but, I would love to fill the Drive In with cars driven in and show this little town some nice German Iron! The town is only 50 minutes from Boise, and 15 minutes from a town of 30,000 so hotels are available as well as eateries. I will supply that kind of information in the coming months. -- Brian--\x/64 Notch & 67 Fastback http://www.geocities.com/menacefye/ Parma, Idaho: Home of the 2003 "Type 3 Invasion" ------------------------------------------------------------------- Search old messages on the Web!
