If you unscrew the plugs the plugs and springs should fall out, the plungers will probably stick up there due to surface tension of the oil, but you should be able to pull them out with a magnet. Drain the oil first since otherwise it will all drain out there anyway. Does your oil idiot light come on when you turn the key on and then go out when the engine starts? I really don't think this could be caused by oil pressure too high.
