Use the 2nd or 3rd gear, release the clutch slowly, and be careful to turn the ignition key on BEFORE your buddies starts pushing. You DONT want to have the steering lock activated when things begin to roll... Its not harmful for the car unless you push it with another car and chrush up the rear bumber and apron... Use a tow rope and pull the car instead. Attach the rope to the ring welded on the front beam, or around the lower beam tube. DONT pull in the front bumper! It's probably half-way rusted loose already...
