I DID this on my 65... and was SORRY! use the new joints... even though the originals only had 70K on them and werent contaminated the were loose in just 2Kmiles later. Perhaps it was all the sitting around for 20 years but I dont think the early ball joints are as durable as the late ones. boots were avail seperately, from the german dealers anyway about 10 years ago... about $4 ea. keith > > I have just read the interresting discussion on ball joints.
