[T3] Well it kind of worked it's a Fuel Problem now

Well I managed to get the engine in and ready to go I
disconnected the distributer and let her rip...after
three years it's the first sound I've ever heard my
car make...it was kind of nice...so I re-connected the
distributer and tried it again....this is where I hit
some problems.....I was getting no fuel....I checked
all the electrical lines going to the pump and they
were fully operational. I concluded the pump was to
blame (it's an FI car by the way). I pulled the pump
and attatched the battery directly to it and got
nothing not even a sound...I thought mabye I should
put a few jars with gas into the mix so I attatched
one jar full of gas to the "S" port, I left the others
open with a bucket underneath....I re-connected the
battery and once again nothing......I did however
notice the pump got a little bit warmer???? anyway
here are my questions and I really appreciate any help
anybody can give to me.

1. Did I correctly test the pump or did I screw up and
hope for that operational pump still exists?

2. If I did screw up testing what is the proper way to
test....do I have to prime the whole system?

3. Should the pump make any noise at all? (I don't
hear a thing!)

4. What is the proper connections for the terminals.
I have "S" coming from the tank/filter..?

5. What is the flow rate and at what pressure does
this system work (once again I must say it is a Fuel
injected system)....?

6. My motive behind six is that can another pump be
used in this system...theoretically If the flow rate,
PSI, and volts all match another model wouldn't it
also work...?....I remeber reading on this list
something about a Ford Ranger pump.

7. Can I re-build this thing myself if I have to...or
is it broken forever?

8. Does anybody out there have one that works....?

I guess that's it any other important info I need
would be much appreciated.

Thank again,

Phil
