You can't, because you really don't know how hot it is, or how hot it should be. If this is a FI engine and you have been adjusting the pressure sensor, then you may be to the point where getting someone to put an emissions tester on the exhaust would be appropriate. The big problem with that is that the emissions are affected by many things, like the condition of the rings, so you really can't tell when the PS is adjusted right unless you KNOW that everything else is right. I'm going to have to think about a way to set up a test where I can compare a tampered PS with a "virgin" one and match them.
